At SKS Hospital and Postgraduate Medical Institute, Salem, he heads the Department of Critical Care Medicine, leading a skilled multidisciplinary team equipped with advanced life-support technologies, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), for selected patients with severe heart or lung failure.

Dr. Nishanth completed his postgraduate training in General Medicine at JIPMER, an Institute of National Importance, followed by specialised fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine. He is also actively involved in academic teaching and the training of medical professionals.
